Snow in Our Backyard Garden!

The snow started falling down from the grey sky around 10pm on Thursday night. Kami pun apalagi, grabbed the snow gears (konon!) and headed straight towards the garden......time for a snowball fight!!

Alia is all glowing in the snow

A scribble on the car rear windscreen

Snows on the 1st night

JLo tengah sibuk menggodek kamera dalam salji tebal, malam2 buta....

Posing depan rumah....look at my car at the background....covered in snow, you can hardly see anything inside the car.

JLo telah bertukar menjadi makcik cleaner...mencuci saki-baki snow atas keta.

Depan umah jiran....malam2 buta konon nak capture the very merry Christmas lighting tapi gambar tak menjadi.

Paris Day 5: Monmartre and Centre of Paris

Our last day in Paris...

We took the chance to visit Monmartre Basilique du Sacré Cœur and went for a shopping near the area. We were lucky as this place was only 10 minutes walk from our hotel. There are many shops selling all sorts of souvenirs along the street. Basilique was one of the most visited tourist attraction in Paris. It is located at the highest point of the city, overlook the Monmartre city and its surrounding. We took the cable car to get to the Basilique and the service was quite good considering the queues ahead of us.

Monmartre Basilique du Sacré Cœur

Bergambar depan hotel...sebelah tu bakery shop, depan kedai kebab and McD. So convenient.

Pharoah di kaki Basilique. Orang yang berlagak macam patung atau macam pelbagai mende lagi. They do this for money sebab ada bekas plastik kat kaki mereka utk kita derma duit atas effort mereka.

Sorang lagi peminta sedekah terhormat. At least they do something instead of just sitting there and do nothing.

The ride in a cable car.

Can you see me there? Tengah khusyuk bershopping tue.....

As we had a lot of time to spare before we leave for London St Pancrass International, we went to Eiffel Tower for the 2nd time, and then to Arc de Triomphe. Amik gambar lagi....

Mengikut gossip yang kudengar dari Henri, this is where Lady Di spent her night before she was involved in the tragic accident.

At 6.45pm, we were on board of Eurostar, heading towards the freezing land of England. We left Paris with a lot of wonderful memories. We loved every single moments spent in this City of Light. Bye bye for now....

Paris Day 4 : Chateau de Versailles & The Monalisa

Hari ke-4, kami menghala ke Versailles. This place was suggested by my French friend, Henri. Kami tak masuk pun ke dalam istana ni sebab masa suntuk. We arrived at 2pm and have to head back to Paris Diderot University for some lecture later in the afternoon. Layan gambar je la ye, though the pics were not as great due to wintry weather.

Jardin du Versailles (Garden of Versailles)

Garden of Versailles

Cantik, kan?

Arca yang pelbagai bentuk dan saiz

Di Versailles, ada free admittance for the frontyard garden. So kami pun memulakan sesi mengambil gambar. Hari tu ramai pelancong2 Korea dan Jepun. Mereka datang on tour bus, sebab banyak bas-bas beratur kat depan the grand entrance. This palace is so grandeur, with a massive garden. They provide kereta (macam keta main golf tu .. apa tah namanya) for the tour.

Paris Diderot University

Upacara wajib - bergambar dulu sebelum masuk lecture theatre

Sebelum ke Versailles, my hubby and Alia went to Louvre Musuem, tempat dimana potret Monalisa ditayang kepada umum. I did not join them as I was attending a symposium at Paris University. Sungguh boring....I was half asleep (no...I was fast asleep..harap2 tak berdengkur), tapi kenapa ada mamat 2 org tu jeling2 kat aku pastu sengih2? Mungkinkah aku berdengkur? Oh, sungguh memalukan!

Senibina kat belakang ni agak terkenal..pun aku lupa apa namanya

Malam tu, selepas penat mendengar ceramah dan juga berjalan-jalan ke Versailles, we had Asiatte Grek Kebab (Kebab ayam dihiris halus) for dinner. In fact, almost everyday, ni le menu kami. My hubby who can't live without nasi, dragged us to Carrefour and we stock up for the next few days. He had microwaveable rice, tinned sardine and mixed salad for supper. Puas hati dapat makan nasi, katanya. Hahahha.

Sehingga berjumpa lagi ....tunggu catatan hari ke-5 pulak ye yakni hari terakhir kami di bumi Napoleon Bonaparte ni.

Paris Day 3 - DISNEYLAND

(Jour 3 à Paris)

Needless to say.....this place is magique! Disneyland is where your little one's dreams comes true. Alia seemed lost in her own world, having met so many of her adorable characters - Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mickey and frens and much more. We spent the whole day in this magical wonderland, from morning 'til late. Tak sedar masa berlalu begitu cepat because there were countless of shows, parades and activities available for everyone.

Entrance ticket was quite pricey, memang pikir 100 kali nak beli.
But I would say this was money well spent. Priceless dibandingkan dengan your 'lil ones happiness and excitement. As we had Paris Visit Day Pass, we got 20% off. And aku dengan selambanya hanya beli 2 adult tickets. Lucky for us, the staff let us in easily. Adakah sebab Alia kecik aje? Atau sebab dia kesian tengok muka aku? Apa-apapun, here's the recap:

With Disney's Castle at the background

Welcome to Disneyland Park!

Dalam train lagi Alia dok buat kajian pasal Disneyland Park, tak sabar nak explore tue..

The station for Disneyland Paris, called Marne-la-Valle-Chessy

Tak kenal sangat this character berbaju hijau ni tapi she was the first one we met, right after the entrance. She was screaming, running and shrieking all at the same time. Alia was scared of her at first, thinking maybe this girl tak berapa betul. Later we realized that she was running from her rival in red dress (pic below) and they just mimicking some scenes from the fairytales.

Disney character's parade. Vibrant and colourful.

Alia kept on toleh ke belakang 'cos she wanted to see the parade but mom and dad sibuk nak amik gambar. At one point, she screamed "I don't want to take a picture, I want to see the show!".

Alia and the genie....from The Aladdin

This bear was so friendly, we got to spent some time with him.

I guessed Alia was amazed at so many characters who came alive that day. She probably wouldn't want to blink her eyes so she will not miss every single moment, hahahha.

Look at Alia's face...macam bangga semacam je dapat bergambar dengan...sapa ni? Cinderella? Sleeping Beauty? Oh, mama tak tau le. Hanya Alia yang terer. She could name each and every character!

Look! Who's here? Si penjaga istanakah?

Having fun at the carousel. Mom and dad pun naik jugak. Tumpang sekaki.

Beautiful fantasy village

Live show from Mickey Mouse and friends. Energetic and entertaining.

Adventureland - where you feel like you're in the middle east. Ada Moroccon restaurant and all. Lots of souvenirs, too.

The mainland USA. Banyak themed shops and restaurants.

In the Disneyland Train. Great to get around between all 4 parks available.

At the Walt Disney Studios. Masa ni dah nak gelap.

We were lucky to be here during the off-peak season as there were no long queues or overcrowded area. Alia enjoyed the "Playhouse Disney Channel Live
On Stage" the best. She and the other kids were dancing around, bouncing, jumping and wiggling almost all the way through the show. So exciting! The kids even jumped off their seats for bubbles and confettis catching. Siap berebut-rebut dan akhirnya all her diaper's bag were full of the glittery bits. So fun!

Winter Wonderland

The closing parade

It was almost midnight when we arrived at the hotel. Tired but happy. I truly believe that this is the right place to make your kids happy. It was worth every penny. Even my husband who was so sceptical about making a trip to Disneyland, seemed to be on the same page with me. The only regret I had was not able to capture the moment in video as I left my camera at home. To make matters worse, my hubby's camera can only capture still pictures. Nevertheless, I have no regrets coming here. A whole day full of fun. So folks, save some money and treat your kid to something special, a day where your kid will always remember.

'til we meet again...... à bientôt
(see you soon)!!
